$2.83 Million in COVID-19 Relief for Local Health Unit
August 20, 2021NORTH BAY – Vic Fedeli, MPP for Nipissing is pleased to announce that the Ontario government is providing one-time Covid relief funding of $2,830,000 to the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit.
This is in addition to the $1.8 million in one-time mitigation funding announced yesterday.
“Public health units across Ontario have incurred additional expenses throughout the pandemic, including those related to COVID-19 monitoring, case and contact management and local vaccination efforts,” said Vic Fedeli, MPP for Nipissing. “We are proud of the work the local Health Unit has done to keep our community safe.”
Ontario will continue to monitor and track public health unit funding and spending and make further adjustments to support public health units if required.
