MPP FEDELI CALLS ON MINISTER HOSKINS TO CORRECT THE RECORD
June 1, 2016QUEEN’S PARK — The following is a statement from Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli regarding comments made by Minister Hoskins in the Ontario Legislature on Monday May 30th, 2016:
“In response to my question to Minister Hoskins on potential changes in cancer care at the North Bay Regional Health Centre (NBRHC), the Minister responded:
‘We have no plans to change the level, quality and location of cancer services at the North Bay Regional Health Centre.’
However, we now know that this is not accurate. In a subsequent release the NBRHC indicated that:
‘There have been discussions related to phasing out the radiation oncologists visiting NBRHC to provide follow up care.’
I call on Minister Hoskins to do the right thing and immediately retract this erroneous information and correct his record in the Legislature.”
