FUNDS FOR MIDWIFERY SERVICES
August 4, 2015NORTH BAY – VON – North Bay is getting more than $1.4 million in funding to support
local midwifery practice groups, Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli announced today.
The organization is receiving new base funding of up to $547,626 and up to $896,850 in
one-time funding.
The monies are for the 2015-16 funding year.
“VON – North Bay and their staff deserve our congratulations for their continued
commitment to providing quality health services here in Nipissing,” said Fedeli.
Along with various nursing services, VON – North Bay also provides community support
programs such as Meals on Wheels, plus palliative care and other specialized services
for children, seniors and First Nations.
