FUNDING FOR LOCAL ARTS CONFERENCE
May 29, 2015NORTH BAY – A $120,000 Ontario Trillium Foundation grant awarded to the White
Water Gallery is helping enable a Northern arts conference being hosted in North Bay
this week, Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli announced today.
Fedeli was on hand at the “Dream Big Conference” being held at the Capitol Centre to
make the announcement of the 24-month grant this morning.
The aim of the conference has been to help unify arts organizations and encourage
future partnerships and resource sharing within the North and throughout Ontario.
A project coordinator was also to be hired to undertake community-based consultations
to shape the content of the conference.
“My congratulations go out to the White Water Gallery, Clayton Windatt and all of the
volunteers and artists who have joined together to make this event possible. It’s
wonderful to see the initiative and leadership shown by members of our local arts
community, which is now helping to foster a spirit of advancement and sharing
throughout the North,” said Fedeli.
