FEDELI ANNOUNCES LOCAL SKI RACE FUNDING

January 16, 2015

NORTH BAY – Funding from the Ontario Trillium Foundation will help facilitate
competitive ski racing at Antoine Mountain in Mattawa, Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli
announced today.

Fedeli announced a total of $63,400 for the North Bay Ski Racing Club as training for
weekend races at Laurentian Ski Hill got under way.

The money will be spread over 12 months in order to purchase ski racing equipment
such as gates, timing equipment, fencing and ski tuning equipment.

That in turn will enable the club’s competitive team to train and host races at Antoine
Mountain.

“With the re-opening of Antoine Mountain this season, it’s wonderful to see the facility
will be used in this fashion, providing training and competitive opportunities for athletes
here in Nipissing. My congratulations go out to all those who’ve helped make this a
reality and it’s a particularly great day for the town of Mattawa.” said Fedeli.
