$15 Million for NBRHC to Deliver Healthcare Services
December 18, 2025NORTH BAY – Vic Fedeli, MPP for Nipissing, announced that the Ontario government is investing an additional $15 million in funding for the 2025-26 year to support the North Bay Regional Health Centre’s (NBRHC) operations and Alternate Levels of Care beds. These investments will ensure the hospital can continue to meet the needs of patients and their families for years to come.
Today’s funding is in addition to the $2,000,000 previously announced for the NBRHC through the Health Infrastructure Renewal Funding and Community Infrastructure Renewal Funding.
“The Ontario government is working to deliver care in our community and ease pressure at our North Bay Regional Health Centre,” said MPP Vic Fedeli. “We recognize the vital role our hospital plays in providing access to connected, high-quality healthcare services, and today’s additional $15 million investment will help them continue to meet the needs of patients.”

NBRHC breakdown of funding includes the following:
- $4,609,000 in top-up funding to support operations, representing a 1.9% increase over last year. This increase is in addition to the previously announced annualized base funding of $9.1 million.
- $7,971,600 in base funding to support 40 beds for the NBRHC’s Cartier Facility (previously-received one-time funding, now base funding).
- $1,533,000 in new funding to support 7 Alternate levels of Care beds at the NBRHC.
- $697,500 in base funding to support 15 Alternate Level of Care beds at the NBRHC (previously-received one-time funding, now base funding).
