“We are pleased to once again be receiving funding through the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund. Annually, these funds are used to assist our municipality in addressing costs related to the renewal and rehabilitation of our road network. We thank the province for increasing the minimum grant amount from $100,000 to $125,000 beginning in 2026. As costs continue to rise year-over-year, it is imperative that funding levels keep pace as municipalities tackle their infrastructure deficits. We would also like to thank our MPP Vic Fedeli for his continued support for our municipality as well as all small, rural, and northern communities in the Nipissing District.” – Rick Champagne, Mayor of the Municipality of East Ferris.

“The Municipality of Calvin is pleased to receive news of the 2026 Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund allocation. This investment will directly support our community as we plan for infrastructure improvements in 2026. By investing in our local infrastructure, the province is helping ensure that our residents benefit from safe, reliable, and sustainable services now and into the future.” Richard Gould, Mayor of the Township of Calvin.

“The funding provided to small municipalities, such as the Municipality of Mattawan, allows the municipality to continue to upgrade the roads within the municipal boundaries and to maintain and upgrade the infrastructures. The Municipality of Mattawan welcomes the increase of funding through the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund (OCIF).” – Peter Murphy, Mayor of the Municipality of Mattawan.

The OCIF provides funding for local infrastructure projects in municipalities with populations under 100,000, rural and northern municipalities, as well as for Local Services Boards that own water or wastewater systems.
