July 14, 2025

NIPISSING — Vic Fedeli, MPP for Nipissing announced the Ontario government is providing $96,500 over six months to Nipissing First Nation through the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) Capital grant stream. This funding is to restore the Beaucage Park dock and boat launch area and install park amenities to ensure the park remains a vibrant and sustainable gathering space.

“This funding will help make it easier for local residents to access the critical programming, activities, and spaces that make Nipissing a great place to live, work, and play,” said MPP Vic Fedeli. “Nipissing First Nation is a pillar of our community, and this support will enable them to better serve the people of Nipissing and continue to make a positive difference.”

“We are grateful to the Ontario Trillium Foundation for supporting the restoration of Beaucage Park, a space that holds deep cultural and personal meaning for our community. This project will ensure the dock, boat launch, and park amenities continue to serve as a gathering place where families connect, youth spend time on the land, and ceremony takes place. With this support, Beaucage Park will remain a vibrant and welcoming space for generations to come.” – Gimaa (Chief) Cathy Stevens, Nipissing First Nation.

OTF’s Capital grant stream helps organizations improve their infrastructure so they can continue to deliver programs and services that Ontarians need to thrive. Whether it’s purchasing equipment, building a new space, completing renovations, retrofits, or repairs, these grants support projects that are making a difference in Nipissing.

The capital program is part of the government’s plan to protect Ontario by supporting workers, businesses, communities and jobs in the face of ongoing economic uncertainty, while creating a solid foundation for a strong, resilient and competitive future.
