Applications Open for Ontario’s Summer Company Plus Program

April 16, 2025

NORTH BAY—Vic Fedeli, MPP for Nipissing, announced that the Ontario government has opened applications for the Summer Company program. The program provides students between the ages of 15 and 29 with at least 12 hours of business training and one‐on‐one mentoring and grants up to $3,000 to start a full-time business. The deadline for applications is May 16th, 2025.

“Our government is working around the clock to help small businesses and young entrepreneurs succeed because we see first-hand the impact they have. When Nipissing’s small businesses prosper, local families thrive, and our economy continues to grow,” said MPP Vic Fedeli. “We encourage all eligible young entrepreneurs in Nipissing to apply for this funding.”

Successful Summer Company applicants get:

  • up to $1,500 up front to help with start-up costs
  • up to $1,500 when you successfully complete the program requirements

Ontario’s 47 Small Business Enterprise Centres provide entrepreneurs access to advisors, programs and services, as well as learning opportunities for small business owners specific to their region.

Our government provided an additional investment of $1.5 million last year, helping an additional 250 young people across the province start and grow a business. The investment increased total funding for the program to more than $4.7 million over two years.
