Funding for Playground Improvements in Calvin
August 26, 2017NORTH BAY – $6,600 has been awarded to Calvin Township through the Ontario Trillium Foundation, Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli announced today.
The money will be provided over 3 months to upgrade playground equipment with purchase of a new slide, climbing structure and teeter-totter.
“My congratulations go out to the community for their commitment to providing an enhanced quality of life and physical activity for its residents and families,” said Fedeli.
The goal is to foster more active lifestyles and accessible infrastructure for physical activity.
“We in Calvin appreciate the fact that Ontario Trillium Foundation recognizes, as we do, that an active lifestyle for our youth is a positive contributing factor to productive adulthood. With OTF’s assistance in making Calvin’s goals a reality, we can continue bringing community together,” said Calvin Mayor Wayne Brown.
