Funding for Local Arts Organizations: Fedeli
February 27, 2017NORTH BAY – $69,000 has been awarded through the Ontario Arts Council to local arts groups, Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli announced today.
Project grants include:
- $30,000 for Aanmitaagzi through the Multi and Inter-Arts Organizations program towards the operation of the organization. This multi-disciplinary, artist-run organization serves artists and community members from Nipissing First Nation and the surrounding area;
- $30,000 to the Near North Mobile Media Lab Collective through the Compass program for an arts management intern;
- $9,000 to the Nipissing Region Curatorial Collective through the Visual Arts Project program for the publication Elly Mackey: Abstraction in Isolation.This publication features reproductions of Eleanor Mackey’s artwork, three interpretative essays, and a Blu-ray disc with clips from a documentary on Mackey’s life.
