PRE-BUDGET HEARING DEADLINE APPROACHES
January 4, 2016QUEEN’S PARK – Nipissing residents who wish to present at the 2016 pre-budget hearings being held by the Ontario Legislature’s Standing Committee on Finance and Economic Affairs need to apply to do so this week, MPP Vic Fedeli said today.
The deadline to appear in person or to present to one of the hearings via teleconference is this Friday, January 8 at noon.
This year, hearings will be held in Hamilton, Windsor, Thunder Bay, Sault Ste. Marie and Ottawa from January 18 to 22. Additional hearings will be held in Toronto on February 1 & 2.
“Given events of the past few months, it’s clear that provincial government decisions have an impact on our community. This is the opportunity for those in our community who wish to make their voices heard to do so,” said Fedeli, who sits on the Committee as caucus lead.
The deadline for written submissions to the Committee is 5 p.m. on Tuesday, February 2.
