FUNDING FOR LOCAL ARTS PROJECTS
March 23, 2015NORTH BAY – Two local arts projects are receiving funding through the Ontario Arts
Council, Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli announced today.
North Bay and Area Potters Guild was awarded $6,000 through the Crafts Projects –
Connections Program toward Canoe Culture, an exchange exhibition and workshop
series between two Northern Ontario pottery guilds (North Bay and Deep River).
Focusing on the theme of water transportation and cultural appropriation, it is taking
place from December 2014 to June 2015.
Also, Les Compagnons des francs loisirs was awarded $5,050 through the Aide à la
diffusion artistique – projets program toward the 52nd anniversary of the Francophonie in
North Bay.
Music shows will be presented to explore the cultural diversity available to
Francophonies in North Bay and area.

prolific arts and cultural community in Nipissing,” said Fedeli.
